How Work An Ultrasonic Humidifier?
An ultrasonic humidifier uses high-frequency sound vibrations to produce an extra fine water mist that is then expelled to add moisture to the room. It is considered safer by some in that there is no hot water present in the unit and therefore no risk of scalding since the unit does not heat the water in any way.
How To Maintain An Ultrasonic Humidifier?
The first thing is to follow the manual instructions of the manufacturer.
If the manual is not available, here are some general process that you can follow:

Before the next use:
Detach the nozzle from the water reservoir, empty the reservoir and rinse both with clean water and pat dry with a clean towel.

For deep cleaning once a week or when needed:
Fill the water reservoir halfway with warm water and two tablespoons of white vinegar or bleach. This process is aimed to disinfect and decalcify the water tank. Swirl the water to make sure that this mixture reaches all parts of the reservoir. Let it sit for half an hour; then, gently scrub the interior of the water tank. Do the same for the water basin as well. Rinse all the parts in warm water and let them air dry.
